ISSR is a trusted partner working collaboratively with government and the private and not-for-profit sectors to contribute to a fair, equal, and just society.
As a university research institute, we bring strength in the synergies between academia and commissioned research.
We are known for our adaptability and flexibility and our preferred approach is to work closely with partners to ensure our collective work is strategic, responds to needs, and delivers outcomes on time that are accepted and actionable.
We offer research and evaluation expertise across social policy, health, education, employment, social justice, families and communities delivered across a range of services and capabilities.
Who we work with
Over the past 15 years, ISSR has worked with government, the private and not-for-profit sectors, and universities to deliver project-based research and evaluation services on topics that matter in the real world. We maintain strong networks of external experts in academia, industry, and government, who we collaborate with to value-add to our capabilities and service delivery.
"Thanks again for all the hard work on the project, especially in such a short timeframe, and for your collaborative and flexible approach. It has been a pleasure working with you all on this important project.”
Director, Australian Department of Health and Aged Care
“Thanks for progressing and being flexible and responsive to our emerging and changing need. This is a good example of how research and evaluation can work with policy development to help build and adjust the program and narrative for stakeholders.”
Principal Lead, Queensland Health
“Having ISSR work in close partnership with the Department resulted in a productive alignment of in-house content expertise with rigorous research and evaluation methodologies. The close working relationship also facilitated a highly responsive approach to evaluation, which was invaluable with the changes and challenges presented by the pandemic.”
