Advancing social justice through inclusive and partner engaged research.
What we do
There is a need for research to support the fair treatment of all people regardless of gender, race, colour, ethnicity, age, marital or parental status, sexual preference, disability, or religious belief. At ISSR, we use inclusive and rigorous methods that help understand and address systemic injustices and promote human rights across diverse spheres of life – with a strong focus on communities and the workplace.
We work closely with communities, government, and non-government partners to identify and access relevant data to support truth-telling and healing inquiries and inform policy and programs designed to contribute to positive societal change and ensure a fair and equitable division of resources, opportunities, and privileges for all.
Objectives
- Conduct research on social justice themes, aligned with the values of fairness, equality, and respect for diversity.
- Provide evidence-based support for initiatives aimed at promoting social justice and human rights across various spheres of society.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address societal inequities and contribute to the advancement of inclusive policies and practices.
- Provide partners, stakeholders, and communities with actionable, evidence-based learnings and recommendations to ensure a fair and equitable division of resources, opportunities, and privileges for all.
