Case Study: Investigating Higher Education expectations and engagement of low SES students

ISSR was engaged by the Department of Education to conduct research on the relationship between student engagement, teaching practice and student outcomes (specifically, aspirations and sense of belonging at primary and secondary school among different student groups: students from low and high socioeconomic backgrounds).
A longitudinal analysis will achieve the project aims to establish patterns for the general population of government school students and determine differences between selected groups of students, with a focus on students from low SES families.
