Promoting fairness through inclusive and innovative research and evaluation.
What we do
Equity recognises entrenched social disadvantage and seeks to challenge this by addressing the unfair and avoidable differences among groups within society. At ISSR, we are committed to contributing to a sustainable future and a fair and just society and we use inclusive and rigorous qualitative and quantitative research methods to understand and mitigate inequity and foster social inclusion.
We work closely with communities, government, and non-government partners to identify and access relevant data across social policy, health, education, employment, social justice, and families and communities to inform policy and programs designed to provide more equitable opportunities and outcomes for all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Objectives
- Conduct research to identify the multifaceted dimensions of inequity across various life domains and over the life course.
- Uncover the underlying mechanisms driving differential outcomes and opportunities for individuals and communities facing disadvantage.
- Provide partners, stakeholders, and communities with actionable, evidence-based learnings and recommendations to mitigate inequity and fostering social inclusion.
