Congratulations: Assoc Prof Jason Ferris receives honorary professorial appointment with a leading national drug and alcohol centre

ISSR congratulates Associate Professor Jason Ferris for his honorary professorial appointment with Turning Point, one of Australia’s leading drug and alcohol treatment centres that supports and delivers integrated and evidence-based interventions across the alcohol and other drug (AOD) sector, governments and communities.  Associate Professor Ferris’ appointment contributes to a nationally coordinated effort of generating evidence to drive policy and practice that effectively reduces harms and promotes recovery from addictive behaviours.  It also enhances vital links between ISSR research and the practical social contexts that reinforce the strong translational value of ISSR research.
