
Researcher Biography
Pipin Prasetyono is a fiscal and financial sector analyst at the Fiscal Policy Agency, Indonesian Ministry of Finance. He has also served as a fiscal economist for International Monetary Fund Resident Representative Office in Indonesia between 2014 to 2015. The Indonesian Ministry of Finance through the prestigious Ministerial Scholarship provides a full time PhD scholarship for him to study at the Institute of Social Science Research (ISSR) of the University of Queensland. His PhD research mainly examines the willingness to pay and ability to pay for a Matching Defined Contributions (MDC) pension program of informal workers in Indonesia. In addition, his research would also identify, discuss, and moderate the potential challenges of implementing MDC program, such as political and fiscal debate.
