Mr Dagnachew Fetene

Dagnachew is a PhD candidate under the supervision of Professor Rosa Alati and Dr. Kim Betts. He has been awarded an International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) and UQ Centennial Scholarship (UQCent) to undertake his current doctoral research. His doctoral thesis focused on the impact of Maternal Thyroid function during Pregnancy on Behavior and Psychiatric Disorders among Offspring.

Prior to his PhD studies, Dagnachew worked in the field of Infectious and Tropical Diseases running both teaching and research activities at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia. He has particular interest in the developmental origins of health and disease.
