Tuhin Biswas is a PhD candidate at the University of Queensland. He has been awarded an International Postgraduate Research Scholarship to undertake his current doctoral research. His doctoral thesis is focused on the epidemilogy of obesity among women of reproductive age in South east Asia. Prior to his PhD studies, Tuhin worked in the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b). In icddr,b he was involved in several research projects focusing on chronic non-communicable diseases, universal health coverage and health care systems.
