The Institute for Social Research (ISSR) has researchers with PhD level disciplinary training in Criminology, Sociology, Political Science, Social Policy, Psychology, Statistics and Physics.
The multidisciplinary background of our researchers brings a broad perspective to the study of social structures, cultures, institutions, individual differences and human/environment interactions in shaping outcomes and processes
ISSR staff are extensively involved in postgraduate and postdoctoral research training and supervise more than 60 research higher degree (PhD and MPhil) students across a range of scientific disciplines including: sociology, public policy, psychology, statistics, criminology, mathematics, political science, anthropology and architecture.
