MFSAS Stream D modules involve hands-on software training.

These workshops will take participants through hands-on exercises and examples using the software.

Module D4 – Stata: An Introduction  (½ day)

This module is designed for people who have little to no previous knowledge or experience of STATA.

On completing this module, participants will be familiar with:

  • The STATA operating environment and visual landscape
  • Basic functions and navigation within STATA.

There are no prerequisites.

Module D5—Graphics & Do files complements this unit, building on Module D4.

Module D5 – Stata: Code and graphics (½ day)

This module is designed for people who are familiar with the STATA operating environment.
 

On completing this module, participants will be able to:

  • Create and manipulate graphs and figures in STATA
  • Record changes to graphics, using STATA’s “record” functionality
  • Create and share “Do” files
  • Annotate data, set out command functions, and execute “Do” files.

Participants with no prior knowledge of STATA should complete Module D4—Introduction to STATA before taking this course.
